PRINCETON, La. -- A Bossier Parish man has died from injuries sustained in a house fire Saturday.

The state Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the fire that was reported around 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Robbin Lane.

Bossier Parish District 1 firefighters responded to find the house fully engulfed in flames. Relatives rescued the 66-year-old homeowner, who was taken to a nearby hospital with second- and third-degree burns.

The man died Sunday.

Four other relatives in the house escaped unharmed.

Early findings indicate the home did not have a working smoke alarm. The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
