The money will expand and modernize key machine centers, increasing veneer production capacity by 30 percent and allowing the facility to produce up to 400 million square feet of dry veneer annually, company officials said. Another 30 direct new jobs will be added to the current 370 positions. The project will also create 77 indirect jobs, according to the Louisiana Economic Development. Boise Cascade anticipates construction to start in the second half of 2024, with an estimated completion date in mid-2025.
