The body of a weekend drowning victim in Hardin County has been recovered.
Reports coming out of the Golden Triangle say that 26-year-old Kristian Omar Montante, of Beaumont, was reported missing shortly before 8:00 Saturday evening after he went missing while swimming in Village Creek.
Silsbee Fire Chief Robin Jones says Montante’s body was recovered at about 10:30 Sunday morning. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Hardin County Justice of the Peace Chris Ingram, who has ordered an autopsy.
