Sheriff Aaron Mitchell announces a body was located off LA Highway 1215 around 2PM this afternoon, February 10, 2025.
Sabine Parish Sheriff Detectives are working with law enforcement officials from Angelina County Texas in this case.
The body is believed to be one of the men reported missing two weeks ago in Angelina County. A suspect is in custody in Texas.
The case remains under investigation and no other information will be released at this time.
Lufkin Police Department, Angelina County Sheriff's Office, Texas Rangers Company "A", and the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office are working together in this investigation.
Sheriff Mitchell said there is no reason for the citizens of Sabine Parish to be alarmed at this time.
