Louisiana State Police are investigating the death of a man found in the swimming pool of a Homer city councilman Sunday.
Homer Police Chief Van McDaniel said that foul play is not suspected in the death of Ernest Grant, Jr., 79, of Homer. The cause of death has not been determined.
According to McDaniel, Grant had gone over to the home of District 3 Councilman Keldron Johnston in the 900 block of North Main Street to retrieve a lawnmower but never returned. Grant’s body was later discovered at the bottom of the swimming pool.
Grant’s body has been sent to Little Rock, Ark. for autopsy
