PINEVILLE, La. (KALB) - A man from Ball died in a boating accident that happened on Lake Buhlow on March 30.
Around 3:45 p.m. that day, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries said it received word of a boater falling out of a kayak and failing to come back to the surface.
The body of John A. Rashall, 48, was recovered around 6:10 p.m. by the Pineville Fire Department and was turned over to the Rapides Parish coroner.
LDWF is the lead investigator for this death. They said it is currently unknown what caused Rashall to fall into the water. LDWF confirmed he was not wearing a life preserver when his body was found.
