Big Rig Rollover in a Curve Known for Accidents, No Injuries

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

Emergency crews were on the scene of an 18-wheeler rollover early Thursday morning. It happened at a location that has seen many such accidents over the years; Highway 63 West in the curve at the confluence of Farm to Market Roads 2799 and 3414.

The big-rig was hauling a load of scrap iron westbound when the driver apparently didn’t negotiate the curve and the truck and trailer turned over. Fortunately, the driver wasn’t injured and the rig was completely off of the roadway so traffic wasn’t affected.

The Jasper Fire Department was dispatched to the scene to deal with oil and diesel spilled on the roadway, but it was only a very small amount of fluid.

DPS later identified the driver as Brandon Isaac, 40, of Louisiana.
