An 18-wheeler driver had what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries after his rig rolled over in east Jasper on Wednesday morning. It happened shortly before 9:00 on Highway 190 East at Highway 63 East. The crash involved a late model Mack truck which was pulling a loaded chip trailer. Although the big-rig landed off of the highway, traffic had to be diverted as a crew from Jasper Towing & Recovery set up their large equipment and worked to pull the truck and trailer upright. Meanwhile, Jasper firefighters dealt with a small amount of diesel that spilled from one of the truck’s fuel tanks. The name of the driver wasn’t immediately available. He was transported by ambulance to Jasper Memorial Hospital.
