BG Frank Signs Order Moving Fort Polk to Phase II Effective Monday, June 6, 2020

BG Pat Frank held the 14th Facebook Live Townhall meeting this afternoon.

Gen. Frank signed an order for Fort Polk to transition to Phase 2 on Monday, June 8. The current rotation will be going into the Box on Saturday, so this allows Fort Polk to continue to maintain their protective posture.

On Monday, gatherings of up to 50 will be allowed, gyms will increase from 25-50% occupancy, however they are still restricted to soldiers only.

Toledo Bend will open on Monday, the beach will remain closed.

The Warrior Center will be open for ceremonies, limited to a 50 person headcount.

Pools on post remain closed at this time.

Religious services will increase capacity to 50%.

ACP's will once again scan all id cards for those entering post.

Platoon level PT will begin on Monday, however it will remain squad level for foot marches and runs.

Quality of Life initiatives: $7 million dollars has been approved for QOL improvements including repairing the 50 meter pool, lights on running trails at DogWood Trail and University Parkway.

Post will begin repaving the section of Mississippi Avenue between Louisiana Avenue and the 519th, beginning on June 19, 2020.
