Beaumont police have arrested 21-year-old Sincere Stevenson on a murder charge in the stabbing death of a Richard Nolen Jr., 53, at an apartment complex on Old Dowlen. Ofc. Carol Riley says police found him on Washington Boulevard near 11th Street. Justice of the Peace Ben Collins Sr. tells KFDM/Fox4 News he signed the murder warrant for Stevenson and set bond at $1 million. The judge says he set the high bond "for the safety of the community and due to his extensive violent criminal history, including five attempted murder charges pending in Louisiana for a drive-by shooting. The stabbing was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m. Saturday at an apartment complex in the 4400 block of Old Dowlen Road, according to Officer Carol Riley. Nolan was found lying in front of an apartment. He died at a hospital. KFDM/Fox4 News saw crime scene tape surrounding a rear parking lot at the complex. There were a number of yellow evidence markers on the ground in the parking lot and on the sidewalk near an apartment.
