A Beaumont EMS ambulance rolled onto its side in a late Monday morning crash and left two paramedics with non-life threatening injuries. It happened shortly after 11:00 at the intersection of Fannett Road at Sarah Street, one block north of Cardinal Drive.
Beaumont Police said the ambulance was responding to an emergency call with emergency lights and siren activated when the driver of an SUV failed to yield right-of-way and hit the ambulance, causing it to roll over. Police said the SUV driver was issued a citation.
Beaumont Fire Chief Earl White emphasized the importance of paying attention and always looking out for emergency vehicles when they’re responding to an emergency. White said "They could be responding to your loved one.”
