The Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office is awaiting autopsy results to confirm the identity of a woman who died in a Tuesday afternoon travel trailer fire in Beauregard Parish. It happened at about 4:00 close to Highway 171 just south of DeRidder, and the victim’s body was found in a bed. News agencies in that area are reporting that it’s generally believed that the victim was a 69-year-old DeRidder resident who owned the trailer. Reports say that another woman was able to escape from the burning trailer. Meanwhile, the cause of the fire also remains under investigation.
