RUSK COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A man accused of shooting at someone in a truck after an argument in a Rusk County convenience store has been arraigned.

William Taylor George, 43, of Henderson, has been charged with aggravated assault of a motor vehicle caused by discharging a firearm recklessly intending serious bodily injury (“AGG ASSLT MV DISCH FRARM RKLS HAB/BLDG/VEH SBI”).

Deputies were called to a convenience store near the intersection of State Highway 64 and State Highway 42 on Friday morning, when someone reported a man in a black four-door car was shooting at his truck.

Rusk County Sheriff Johnwayne Valdez said the shooting took place after the two had an argument in the store. The shooter waited for the caller to leave, then shot several rounds into the person’s truck while they were at a stop sign, Valdez said.

George was caught the same day and has been booked into the Rusk County Jail with bond set at $100,000. The sheriff said more charges are coming.
