Amber Alert Discontinued for Texas Boy Abducted After Weekend Shooting

Archived as originally published. Information reflects the date of this article.

Police on Monday evening discontinued the Amber Alert issued in the overnight hours for Amber Wyatt Crowley, a 4-year-old boy abducted and, at one point, believed to be in “grave or immediate danger.”

Police did not provide further details on why the alert was discontinued.

CBS Austin reports the boy was found safe and the suspect, 36-year-old Joshua Crowley, was in custody.

The boy’s disappearance was connected to a shooting Sunday afternoon in Washington County, KBTX in Bryan-College Station reported.

The shooting happened at around 4 p.m. Sunday outside the Burton Short Stop store on FM 390.
