HAUGHTON, La. -- One person was killed and two were injured early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Bossier Parish.
State police identified the victim as Martin Montes, 36, of Santa Fe, N.M.
The crash happened around 4:45 a.m. on Davis Road at state Highway 157 when the driver of a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro went through the intersection and hit a tree.
Montes was a passenger in the back seat. He was not wearing a seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and front seat passenger sustained moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Impairment on the part of the driver is suspected, state police said, and charges are pending.
This crash remains under investigation.
