LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) - Longview police investigated a shooting that took place on Monday morning. According to Longview PD, a call came in shortly after 11 a.m. regarding shots fired at the Longview Square Apartments on Pine Tree Road. Police say there was one victim in the incident. He was taken to a hospital by Longview Fire Department. His condition has not been released. Police investigators found that the shooting was the result of an altercation among several people. Charges are being filed for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, as well as felon in possession of a firearm. Police did not release names of anyone involved, but they say they have all been identified by police. Officers and investigators were still on the scene as of 2 p.m. Police say the public is not in danger, and that apartment management is cooperating with the investigation.
