Over the past 24 hours, the San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office report 2 arrests. All persons accused of a crime are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty. Alvin Earl Smith Jr., black male, arrested on charges of DWI, warrant for failure to appear for DWI, Rusk County warrant for driving while license invalid/suspended, reckless driving, by San Augustine County Sheriff's Office. He remains in jail.
Austin Douglas, white male, arrested on charges of manufacture deliver control substance, by San Augustine County Sheriff's Office. He remains in jail.
