UPDATE: U.S. Highway 59 North is now reopened after it was shut down for the majority of the day.
As of 5:14 p.m., US 59 North has been cleared and reopen, according to Rhonda Oaks, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Transportation. The northbound lanes were shut down since Wednesday morning as crews worked to upright an 18-wheeler.
PREVIOUS: In the wake of a wreck in which an 18-wheeler rolled over, U.S. Highway 59 north of Tenaha in Shelby County is down to two lanes.
According to Rhonda Oaks, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Transportation, Highway 59 will be down to only two lanes for several hours while a wreckers upright and remove the overturned 18-wheeler.
Northbound traffic will be diverted to southbound lanes until the scene is clear.
Motorists traveling on that portion of Highway 59 should prepare for delays and exercise caution while wrecker crews are still at the scene.
