Two Brookeland residents were killed in a late Wednesday morning accident in Tyler County. It happened at about 11:00 on Highway 287 at Farm to Market Road 256, between Woodville and Chester.
Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark said that John Crenshaw, 71, and Pamela Crenshaw, 62, were in a 2020 Kia SUV on FM 256 and pulled out into the path of a fully loaded log truck on Highway 287, which hit the small SUV on the driver side. The log truck then rolled over.
Clark said John & Pamela Crenshaw were pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the log truck, Christopher Faulkenberry, 31, of Woodville, was not injured.
