Friday the 13th proved unlucky for two men in the Kirbyville area as they were arrested in a Jasper County Sheriff’s Department warrant raid.
Officers said that at about 9:30 p.m., they went to a residence on Farm to Market Road 1013 where they arrested Ruben Arredondo, 41, Kirbyville and Larry Kirkpatrick, 45, of Jasper.
Arredondo was wanted on charges of felony probation violations and theft of property, while Kirkpatrick was wanted for felony probation violations.
The department said that 9.3 grams of methamphetamines and one gram of black tar heroin were found in the house, and Arredondo admitted that the drugs belonged to him. As a result, he would also be charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
