A Texas 10-year old was killed in a horse accident at the Beauregard Parish Arena on Sunday, October 3, 2021.
The Arena was hosting the Texas Region 5 Junior High Rodeo.
The child had placed second in team-roping on Saturday and was in the warm up pen preparing for the finals when his horse had a medical emergency, reared up, died, and fell landing on the boy.
