Suspect in Custody After Nacogdoches SWAT Standoff

A suspect is in custody after an hours-long standoff with police in south Nacogdoches.

Officers were called to the 3600 block of Laurel Oak Street around 8:00 p.m. Sunday after a 911 call about a burglary at a home.

When police arrived, they found an unidentified man who had been shot. The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital, a news release stated.

A SWAT team negotiated with the unidentified suspect who was barricaded inside.

Additional details about the suspect and the shooting victim are expected to be released Monday morning.
