A storm that moved across Southeast Texas has left behind damage in Port Neches.

Police Chief Paul Lemoine tells KFDM/Fox 4 the storm moved across the area at about 5:00 a.m.

He says there’s about a 200 yard wide swath of damage from 15th Street to Nall to Highway 365. Part of a roof collapsed at a home on 15th Street. A woman told us that she, her daughter and husband were home at the time. They were frightened but were able to get out unhurt.

Chief Lemoine tells us there was damage to other homes and buildings, and many trees are down.

Law enforcement officers have blocked several streets in the area.

There is also storm damage reported in Groves and on Nederland Avenue.
