Silsbee Theft and Drug Suspects Arrested in Tyler County

Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford says his deputies arrested a pair of theft and drug suspects from the Golden Triangle on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Weatherford, deputies were dispatched the Fred and Spurger area after receiving information from Silsbee Police about the suspects in a theft there. They were identified as Travis Smith, 31, of Nederland, and Kory Sanders, 31, of Port Neches.

Weatherford said the suspects were spotted driving on Highway 92 and when a deputy stopped them he found in their vehicle methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and several items that had been stolen in Silsbee.

Smith and Sanders were arrested. Both were charged with tampering with evidence and Smith was charged with possession of a controlled substance. At last word they remained behind bars.
