Please be advised “Officials with the National Forests and Grasslands in Texas, Sabine National Forest, are conducting a prescribed burn today with Helicopter support, Thursday, February 27, 2020 located at Sabine National Forest Service Office off State Highway 21, Compartment 75, (Blocks A & B ) totaling 898 acres. The area is South of State Highway 21, 5 miles East of Milam (intersection State Hwy 87 & 21) in Sabine County, Please see the attached map of the projected burn areas (Blocks A & B). Use Caution for smoke and please have headlights on.”
Winds will be North and Northwest @ 3-6 MPH. Ignition time of 1100 and completion estimated at 1800.
