Rusk County Office of Emergency Management says a case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in the area.

Officials say the case is reportedly travel-related. The person is isolated at home, they said, but could not share other details due to patient privacy laws.

State officials will be conducting follow-up interviews with persons known to have had contact with the infected person.
