One woman is dead after a police standoff on the 200 block of North Center Street in New Boston.
Police were called to the residence on a report of a suicidal person around 11 p.m. Thursday.
Police told KTBS 3 News at when they arrived, Elizabeth Harris, 58, started firing at the officers. Police say she fired around six or seven times.
A negotiator was called in to talk her down. Negotiations lasted about two hours.
After those two hours, the woman stepped out of the house, according to police, and started firing at the officers again. This time, the officers fired back, killing her.
Texas Rangers are now investigating this officer involved shooting.
