Jasper Police have released the name of the man whose body was recently found behind O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on South Wheeler Street here in Jasper.
Officer Josh Hadnot said an autopsy revealed that Brent Michael Foster, 46, of Jasper died as a the result of a heart attack. However, why Foster’s body was found completely nude in a field behind the auto parts store is still unknown. Police are reportedly still waiting on toxicology tests and other results in hopes that they might gain more information as the investigation continues.
Officers from the Jasper Police Department were dispatched to the location near the corner of South Wheeler and Carter Streets on the afternoon of Wednesday April 13th, when it was reported that a worker of the auto parts store had discovered the body in a brushy area of a large field.
Foster was pronounced dead at the scene by Jasper County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Raymond Hopson, who conducted an inquest into the death and also ordered that an autopsy be performed.
