RPSO received a theft report on December 13, 2018, involving two hunting dogs taken from the Plainview community.

On January 16, 2019, detectives received a tip that one of the hunting dogs was sold to an individual in Deville. Hunter Ryan Webb, 22, of Pitkin, was then identified as the person who had sold him the dog.

Detectives found Webb and the other dog at his residence. Both dogs were returned to their owner. Detectives obtained warrants for Webb for two counts of felony theft and criminal trespassing. He was arrested on January 17 and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center and later released on a $1000 bond.
