An Orange County deputy was injured Tuesday morning after accidentally shooting himself.

The deputy accidentally shot himself in the foot in Mauriceville early Tuesday morning according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy was not on duty and his injuries are not life threatening according to the sheriff’s office.
