At least one person was seriously injured in an early Wednesday afternoon accident in San Augustine County which involved an overturned log truck. It reportedly occurred on County Divide Road, which runs along the San Augustine/Sabine County line.

A medical helicopter landed at the scene to transport the injured person.

The log truck driver was reportedly trapped inside the cab of the truck until he could be extricated by the Pineland Fire Department, but it’s not yet clear if he was the person that was flown out.

Meanwhile, work crews were reportedly busy for some time cleaning up the scene.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant David Hendrey in Lufkin said that more details will be released when he receives the information from the investigating trooper.
