Detectives with the Nacogdoches Police Department have identified a suspect in a knife attack that occurred in the 1500 block of Dolph Street early Monday evening.
Sgt. Brett Ayres with the Nacogdoches Police Department said Tuesday that NPD detectives are still investigating the incident, which left a woman with a cut on her head. He added that charges may come at a later date after NPD detectives have interviewed the witnesses.
According to the Nacogdoches PD daily activity report, an NPD officer spoke to the victim in the emergency room of a local hospital. The woman said she was stabbed by a person she knows and that she wants to file charges, the report stated.
The victim suffered the knife wound to her head during what Ayres described as a physical altercation.
“There’s no indication that this was a family violence situation,” Ayres said.
