An early Tuesday morning multiple county pursuit began and ended in Jasper County with two male suspects, one from Buna and the other from Corpus Christi, were taken into custody.

According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department, it all began at about 4:30 on Highway 105 in Evadale when a deputy tried to stop a 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck, but the driver fled at speeds reaching up to 100 miles-per-hour.

The department says the chase went through Hardin, Jefferson, and Orange Counties before coming back into Jasper County and ending about an hour after it began.

According to the department, one of the men in the car was wanted on a drug charge out of Corpus Christi. Their names have not been released pending formal charges at arraignment.
