A minor earthquake took place in San Augustine County early Sunday.

According to USGS, the earthquake registered as a 2.6 magnitude quake and the epicenter was located 2.9 miles northeast of Black Ankle, which is located east of San Augustine.

The quake was recorded at a depth of 5 km and happened at 5:31 a.m.

There are no reports of any damage.
