Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford has announced that a man wanted in Tyler County has been found and arrested in Jasper County. Weatherford said 33-year-old Christopher Tidwell was discovered by Jasper County deputies in a residence in Brookeland on Tuesday.

Earlier in the month, Weatherford said Tidwell was named in arrest warrants for Burglary of a Habitation and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity for crimes that had occurred in the Dam B area.

According to Weatherford, Tidwell is now charged with those crimes, however, his troubles increased when he was brought into the Tyler County Jail. Weatherford said a search revealed a plastic bag with methamphetamine, so he is also now charged with Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility.

Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford set his total combined bonds at $200,000.00.
