Overton police are investigating a pedestrian crash involving a train early Tuesday morning.
The crash killed a 17-year-old man.
According to officials, the crash happened sometime before 5 a.m. north of town.
As of 1 p.m., the train tracks and intersections had been cleared to traffic.
According to Overton Police Chief Bryan Pool, the man died at the scene.
Pool said he is waiting to release the name of the victim after the family has had time to address the matter.
“We appreciate the assistance from the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, Rusk County Fire and Rescue and Overton Fire,” Pool said.
