An investigation is underway after a man was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in downtown Shreveport.

Shortly before midnight Monday a man’s body was discovered in the 1200 block of Marshall St.

Detectives said the man had been shot multiple times in the head and died at the scene.

Several witnesses were also located and taken to the police complex for questioning.

Shreveport Police are investigating a homicide after the body of a man is found late Monday night.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Marshall Street just before midnight. His cause of death has not been released. Investigators are questioning witnesses in the area. This is an ongoing investigation.
