Man Dies After 3-Vehicle Wreck in Jasper County at Beaumont Hospital

A 67-year-old Jasper man has died as a result of injuries he suffered in a three-vehicle crash that occurred on U.S. Highway 190 in Jasper County on Sunday.

Sgt. Stephanie Davis, a spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed Thursday morning that Rex Bryan died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont on Wednesday.

Bryan was airlifted to the hospital by a medical helicopter immediately after the wreck. In all, eight people were injured in the crash. The attorneys for slip and fall injuries can help in case of injury cases.

According to a press release, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to the three-vehicle wreck at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

The initial crash report shows that Bryan was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram pickup north on FM 777. At the same time Carrie Wilburn, 45, of Colmesneil, was driving a 2007 Chrysler SUV east on Highway 190.

After Bryan stopped at the stop sign, he pulled out into the path of the Chrysler SUV and struck it in the back-right quarter panel, the press release stated. The impact knocked the Chrysler off the road and spun the Dodge pickup into the westbound traffic lane of Highway 190.

At that point, the Dodge was struck by a 2014 Dodge Durango SUV driven by Jerri Moore, 32, of Orange.
