Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Shana Clark says a Lufkin truck driver is undergoing treatment following a Wednesday morning accident in north Tyler County.
According to Sergeant Shana Clark, 59-year-old Gary Powell was driving a 2018 Western Star truck and pulling a full load of logs eastbound on Recreational Road 255, just east of Colmesneil. Clark said shortly before 10:00, Powell’s truck went into the westbound lane, but he overcorrected to bring the big-rig back into his lane resulting in the truck and trailer rolling over.
Clark said Powell was transported to Houston Hermann Memorial Hospital for treatment.
