Louisiana DOTD announces that weather permitting work will begin on the LA 465 construction project in Vernon Parish on Tuesday July 6 and will last for approximately 6 months.
This base course reconstruction and asphalt overlay project is located on LA 465 beginning at the intersection of LA 8 and ending at the intersection with LA 28. This 7.362-mile-long project will receive drainage structures, milling asphalt concrete, in-place cement treated subgrade, in-place cement treated base course, asphalt concrete pavement, and related work.
The project was awarded to the lowest bidder, Diamond B Construction Co., LLC in the amount of $4,393,605.64.
The roadway will remain open to all local and through traffic with no restrictions for passenger vehicles and a twelve (12) foot wide lane width restriction for all oversize vehicles.
The roadway will be reduced to one lane during construction operations.
