Kirbyville Police Recover Stolen Property and Identify Suspect in Burglary Case

Kirbyville Police have not only recovered tools and other items stolen in a burglary that occurred there on Friday morning, but also have reportedly identified a suspect in the case.

Chief Paul Brister said officers were called to Patricks Auto Supply and Repair at 807 North Margaret Street on Friday morning when workers arrived and discovered that someone had broken into the business overnight.

Brister estimated that well over $4,000.00 worth of tools and other items were stolen. However, Brister said that before the day was over, he and others had not only recovered most of the items stolen in the crime, but had also identified a suspect in the case.

Brister said he could not release the name of the suspect, pending arrest and arraignment, but he did say that officers were in the process of obtaining a warrant in the case.
