Houston County Sheriff: Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation of Man Found Dead on Road

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office said an arrest has been made in a homicide investigation where a man was found dead on a rural road.

According to the sheriff’s office, Houston County Sheriff’s Investigators along with Department of Public Safety Texas Ranger and Lufkin PD have arrested Tyron Mark, 48, for the murder of Cadarius Williams.

The sheriff’s office said their investigators have been working non-stop since the discovery of the murder.

The sheriff’s office said in the overnight hours, they went to speak with Mark in Lufkin when he attempted to elude law enforcement and a vehicle pursuit ensued.

Martin was eventually stopped and subsequently arrested for evading. Investigators were able to recover evidence that linked Mark to the murder.

Investigators R. Martin and Sgt. M. McCreight sought an arrest warrant and submitted information to Justice of the Peace, Clyde Black, who issued the warrant Sunday morning shortly after 11 AM.

The warrant was then served while Mark while was in custody in the Angelina County Jail.
