We’ve learned the names of those involved in a late Monday night crash between Burkeville and the Louisiana state line. The accident occurred at about 11:00 on Highway 63 at the foot of the Burr Ferry Bridge.

Department of Public Safety Sergeant Stephanie Davis says that a Ford SUV, driven by 26-year-old Blake McGlothlin, of DeRidder, crossed the center-line and side-swiped an 18-wheeler, driven by Cecil Watson, 72, of Jasper.

Watson’s big-rig went off the highway and truck a tree, causing the tree to topple over onto the highway.

The tree was then struck by a Chevrolet car driven by Courtney McCullough, 25, of DeRidder.

Fortunately there were no serious injuries reported.
