Cleco announces that effective today and until further notice, customers using the one-time electronic bill payment service KUBRA will receive a credit on their bill for the $2.50 processing fee when using a checking/savings account or a credit/debit.
CLECO can’t cancel the fee or refund it because KUBRA is a 3rd-party company, so their solution is to put the credit on the following months bill listed as a miscellaneous credit.
Other customer assistance efforts during this time, include the temporary suspension of service disconnects and late fees on customer accounts.
CLECO recommends using the CLECO my account, KUBRA or postal mail to pay your bills as the drop boxes are not being checked while the offices are closed.
