The City of DeRidder has announced that as part of their 2022 Overlay Program work will begin Monday, February 21st on various roads throughout the city.
Streets being worked on beginning Monday include Greenbriar Street, Peach Street, Palmetto Cove, Hall Street, Rock Street, North Washington Street, Manx Alley, Shirley Street, Melon Street, and Wagon Street.
Crews will be working each day from 7 AM-7 PM, with some weekend work being a possibility. Roads will be milled, patched, and then overlayed. Motorists are asked to use caution around the crews on hand and the heavy machinery being used. Traffic in some areas may be reduced to one lane.
