The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe Police Department has released the identity of the man accused of robbing the Naskila Gaming Casino early Friday morning. Police Chief Rex Evans says the suspect is Marquel Fitzgerald, of Houston.

The crime occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. on Friday at the casino, located off of Highway 190 between Woodville and Livingston.

Tribal police along with several other law enforcement agencies pursued the suspect until he stopped on U.S. Highway 59 at Kingwood, and he then surrendered following a short standoff during which he refused to get out of his car.

So far there’s no word on what charge or charges Fitzgerald faces in Polk County.
